It is supposed to release in 4-7 days. There may be a waiting list though. Yes, ARMv7 quad core is the real deal.

We have asked for verification for our source regarding the Goophone I5 II v2 quad core. They sent us this add from the manufacturer (click the attached image above).

Also, there are many people that think that there is one official goophone site; this is not the case. The HK goophone site is only a "reseller" that offers support.

There are many different factories in China producing "goophones" - Hence, goophone is a generic term, just like APad is a generic term for android tablet or iPad clone.

Goophone i5 II v2 Quad Core UPDATE

We have not been able to confirm 100% that this phone is exactly is the specs listed here: http://www.apad.tv/apadforum/attachm...0&d=1361334867

We are 98% perfect sure this phone will exist; but still do not know the exact release date. We are in contact with the Goophone factory directly and hopefully, we will get a sample unit for review soon.

Do you think it is safe to preorder? Both the wholesalers i have contacted said it is to be released in 2 days. Out of these two, or if anyone knows a better seller, which on is the more trust worthy. I talked to both their reps and they sounded like decent people, both spoke good english, and both told me i could get my money back if they didnt get the product within a week.

Yes, it should be safe to pre-order. Just make note that the specs may change, so it may be better to wait until the specs are confirmed. Either case, the quad core Goophone I5 will be very popular and supply will be scarce.

I am surprised this isnt producing more hype. Ive only found 2 forums posts and two pre-order sites for the goophone i5 v2.
