In this video we show gaming, web browsing and we also use a MK365 Logitech Wireless Keyboard and Mouse on the UG802+. As shown in the video the Logitech MK365/MK260 can be used to power the device off and on, in to Standby mode, and many other functions.
Hello everyone, the past 2 days I've been using the UG802 + Elite Mini PC from ibex. It's a Mini PC the size of a packet of chewing gum. It features a Duel Core 1.2 Ghz Rockchip RK3066 Cortex A9 CPU, and a Quad Core Mali 400 GPU.
The Mini PC operates Android 4.0.4 ICS. The stock firmware build is very stable, but already apad.tv devs (Soulflier & Flanflinger) are considering making some stand-alone custom ICS firmware for specific tasks, such as point to point file sharing, FTP, mini servers and the list goes on and on. Hooked up to a solar panel power source the uses for such a device suddenly increase 100 fold. (Suggested Solar Panel Power Source Example).(Various compatible Solar Power Sources).. Of course the main use this Mini PC will get is plugged in to your TV at home as a flexible on line media centre with full communications and all of the popular apps we require and use on a day to day basis. Remembering that this unit takes up no space at all. While the stock firmware can already perform p2p tasks and so on, having specific builds will increase the usefulness of this excellent device even further.
I hooked the Mini PC up directly to my TV's HDMi port with the supplied HDMi-male to HDMi-female cable that comes supplied with the unit. I also attached a ten port USB 2.0 hub, a standard PC Mouse, a Flexible USB Keyboard, a separately powered USB 3.5" HD bay which has a 1TB HD fitted inside and I inserted an 8 GB Micro SD TF-card in to the UG802+. All of these devices where hot pluggable and required no restart of the unit in order for them to function.
All that was left to do was connect the Mini PC to it's micro USB power cable. The PSU used was a standard USB power supply. The Power Connector also offers PC to PC Mass Storage functionality via the Storage Menu along with a large selection of other storage configuration options.
The device is very flexible and can be configured in just about every way you want it to. Getting on-line was quick with a smooth quick process of simply entering my WiFi key and then my PPOE ISP login details. Depending which type of network you're connecting the device will depend which type of settings you will need to set, it's very simple and exactly the same as an ICS Android tablet. There are reports from one of apad.tv's Android devs that the unit supports USB Ethernet dongles also. So if you don't have WiFi you can just use Ethernet via a separate USB Ethernet dongle.
Please feel free to enter the article and post comments. Currently 3 videos have been shot: Video performance test (10 minutes), Online browsing and Google Play Store Demonstration, games and benchmarks. 3 more to come, compatibility tests, and 2 more videos I'd like users to decide what they would like to see, it could be testing how a game functions, hardware compatibility tests and anything else you can think of that would be useful to anyone buying one of these units now.
Here's some product link pages on DealsPrime.com to buy the UG802+, the Flexible USB keyboard, a 3.5" HD bay, Wireless mouse, and a there will also soon be available a lower cost version that does not come with a USB charger, only the USB charging cable, for any users who already have a USB power supply, or if they plan to plug the USB power cable directly into a PC, Laptop or other USB power source.
Now the steady flow of Android Phone news is coming in each day, it's now time to increase the amount of Android Tablet news, after all we are the home of the apad (Android pad!). Often featuring China
