It was only a question of time before a China electronics factory decided to produce a clone of the much sort after Nvidia Shield. The Nvidia shield is only available from the USA at present and Europe is currently waiting on tender hooks for news on if there will be enough devices to also flood the UK first and then other European locations right after.

So there is a large gap of nations who don't even know when they will be getting one of these nicely built ergonomic Android handsets from Nvidia, so the market gap for a good quality clone is huge.

So as Nvidia CPU board chipset Android devices have been available for quite sometime, it seems no surprise to hear that a factory is currently working on a prototype clone of the Nvidia Shield.

Whether the Nvidia Shield clone will have the exact specifications as the real Nvidia Shield is currently unknown, but stay tuned to apad.tv for more details of this exciting new clone.

The current trend for Android tablet screens is small and high-res. However, for watching movies or other media where you want to have a real feeling of entertainment and not just practicality, the 9.7 inch display is king. Not only does the new Aoson M33 tablet PC have a 9.7" display, but the display is Retina, meaning it's capable of much higher resolutions than a normal tablet screen.

Apad tablet news sources are flooded with 7 and 8-inch iPad mini clones these days. This is fine and it's a reaction to customer demand, but ultimately bigger is better. The higher resolution Retina screen also packs in more pixels per inch.

The Aoson M33 has a 9.7" 2048 x 1536 Retina screen, offering ample viewing space and a crisp, vibrant image quality. A quad-core Rockchip RK3188 1.6GHz CPU sits in the heart of the M33 along with a Mali 400 GPU and 2GB RAM.

With all that display and all the CPU power you are going to need a serious battery, thankfully the Aoson M33 has a 8000 mAh unit inside that is good up to 8 hours of non-stop use. Other nice features include a micro USB, mini HDMI, SD card reader plus front and back cams.

It isn’t a lot of money for an Android smartphone these days from China, however if that is how much you have to spend then the Beidou Little Cyclone F9 looks to be quite a bargains.

The Little Cyclone F9 isn’t as flashy as most of the phones we are currently watching in China, but at around $130 USD this 5-inch handset is likely to be popular.

Keeping the F9 under the 160 USD mark seems to of been the goal for the designers of this little gem. This means the display has been economised to be a 4.5-inch QHD screen.

However, the rest of the hardware is on a par with phones costing a good bit more. The processor is China’s current favorite for news phones, the quad-core MT6589 and there is 1GB RAM along with 4GB ROM.

An 8 mega-pixel rear cam should be more than adequate for most users and the 2 mega-pixel front cam will be fine for video chat applications.

The smartphone comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean plus there is dual-SIM support, micro SD-card expansion and a 2100mAh battery. The Beidou F9 is actually very similar to the 5-inch Beidou Chi.

MeituKiss is new smartphone targetted at females and comes with dual-cams, with the front and back cameras having an 8 MP Sony image sensor and a quad-core processor.

The past month has seen specification announcements with the notable change being much better front cams. This it would seem is to improve the in-call video quality, but also is the aspect of self-portraits is definitely playing a part in this increased demand for better front cams.

Walk in to any coffee shop on the high street in China and you are guaranteed to bump in to at least one group of young ladies doing their best face pose to their phone cams.

Rumors that Sony's C3 will use a new MediaTek CPU board have surfaced. This would mean Sony is about to possibly launch their first lower price bracket handset. The rumor also suggests that handset will only be manufactured for the China handset market.

A few months back we reported that Sony along with HTC and a couple of other big name brands were planning to deploy MediaTek based phones in China. It makes perfect sense that they should want to as the Chinese phone market is one of the highest volume phone markets in the world. MediaTek based phones are very popular in China and more importantly to the Chinese as they are cheap.

Apparently the handset will be named the Sony C3. Details are thin on the ground, but it is thought that the phone will be powered by a quad-core MT6589 processor or the updated 1.5Ghz MT6589T.

Another selection of Meizu MX3 mock-up concept pictures have been released, showing a new curved slim design and a very curved glass display.
Meizu watchers are now looking forward to more details about the Meizu MX3. As yet Meizu have remained mysteriously quiet regarding the juicy details.

Meizu engineers remain tight lipped thus far and fans are not sure if it's just because they are so busy wrapping up the latest version of the FlyMe ROM V3.0 Or it's because they have a new interesting feature set they wish to keep secret until releasing to the public and staying a step ahead of their competition.

From the Meizu MX3 mock-ups we can make out some new features, such as the body, which appears to be made of a metal alloy to a tapered ‘tear drop’ pear shape. The LED power indicator lights along the edge of casing also look very eye catching. The back of the phone looks to be flat while the display actually seems to have a curve, but this is after all just a hand made rendering. The home button and back are on-screen.

While the designs here are really incredible we don’t actually expect a smartphone looking so extraordinary to appear from Meizu. It's believed the MX3 will look similar to the MX2 but with a bigger display and super slim screen bezel.
